Canary Islands: Subsidies for energy efficiency and renewable.

Finally, for the year 2019, subsidies are announced in the Canary Islands for the improvement of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in public infrastructures, including public buildings, co-financed with FEDER in the scope of the Operational Program of the Canary Islands.

Beneficiaries

Therefore, the Town Councils of this Autonomous Community may be beneficiaries of the actions described. However, Island Councils and Mancomunidades of City Councils may be beneficiaries only of the actions indicated in sections 3 and 7 of the second section.

Object.

  1. Energy audits in facilities or buildings.
  2. Works to improve or replace equipment in public lighting.
  3. The inclusion of energy efficiency criteria in desalination, purification, potabilization, and water distribution.
  4. Other measures of saving and efficiency in building and municipal infrastructures.
  5. Production of electricity with renewable energy.
  6. Renewable energies for thermal uses.
  7. Renewable energies directed to the electric self-consumption, associated with infrastructures of desalination, purification, purification, and distribution of water.

Amount

In the case of energy audits, 50% of the cost of the study will be subsidized, with a maximum of 25,000 euros.

While, for the other lines of action, the percentage of subsidy will be 60% with respect to the eligible investment, with a maximum of 80,000 euros per application, understanding as an eligible investment that which is necessary and is directly related to the improvement of the energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies.

It is worth noting that a subsidy limit is established for each City Council based on the population of the municipality’s right accounted for in the last census.

Deadline for submission of applications.

Finally, it will begin on January 16, 2019, at 9:00 am and end on February 15 at 23:59 hours. In addition, it will be carried out through the computer application of management of the call, located in the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and Knowledge.
