Madrid will subsidize the IBI to all the buildings that install solar panels.

In relation to the recent regulations that eliminate the “sun tax” in Spain, together with the incipient energy transition in the face of the current alarming situation in global warming and sustainable development, there is an “acceleration” in the development of renewable energies, and in this case of photovoltaic solar energy and solar panels.

Therefore, many entities and municipalities are working on the creation of aid to encourage the implementation of these clean energies of harmful emissions. Then, in this post, we highlight aid in the City of Madrid, which will subsidize the IBI (Property Tax) to all buildings that install solar panels, with a maximum bonus of 50% for 3 years, up to a maximum of 60% of the installation cost. In addition, 95% of the Building, Installation and Works Tax (ICIO) corresponding to the works for the installation of solar panels will be rewarded.
