No one doubts that in the coming years there will be an unprecedented transformation of the energy sector. And self-consumption will have a leading role. The future is facing a model with a greater capacity of non-manageable renewables, a growing park of electric vehicles (and its millions of smart recharges) and the impressive development of self-consumption.
Electric networks must be capable of integrating all these new elements to ensure the security of supply at all times. Investments in modernization, digitalization, and automation of the electricity network and comprehensive planning that coordinates investments in the transformation of the energy sector will be necessary.
The EU’s 32% renewable targets will make it necessary to deploy at least 45-55 GW of renewable energy by 2030, a new 500 parks, which is doubling the current renewable capacity. However, if the proposal of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition of reaching 35% of renewable penetration is considered, that figure would rise to more than 60 GW of renewable capacity. In total, of the 99 GW of installed capacity of electricity generation in Spain, it would increase to 140-150 GW in 2030.
Therefore, to all this new generation capacity, there is the massive arrival of the electric vehicle and the installation of recharging points, which will increase the supply needs. According to the report, in the next 10-15 years, between 4 and 6 million electric vehicles are expected to circulate on Spanish roads and, therefore, more than 100,000 recharging points are needed.
Then, the electrical networks will not suppose an obstacle for the integration of the electric vehicle, but they will collaborate in the unfolding of the same one, and therefore, it requires a volume of relatively low investment.
Our philosophy and our “day to day” are focused on achieving a change in the current model, for this, we offer services that help advance the transformation of the energy sector that we live today in our country, and throughout the world. These services are the installation of recharging points for electric vehicles, solar photovoltaic installations … etc.
